Árpád Szarvas (born 4 November 1984) is a Hungarian indie musician, best known as the lead singer, songwriter, lyricist, guitarist of the Hungarian indie band EZ Basic.

Early life and personal life

Szarvas was born in Szeged, Hungary. However, he moved to the capital city, Budapest after graduating at Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Szeged to pursue a music career.

Szarvas is the father of two twins.

Szarvas played the guitar in the Pale Blue Eyes Noise rock Szeged-based band while attending the secondary school. The band played covers of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Sonic Youth, and Joy Division. However, he left the band and formed EZ Basic with his friend Dénes Pesztalics. Szarvas was affected by bands like House of Love, Primal Scream, and Jesus and Mary Chain. is the founding member of EZ Basic.[1]
