Çisel Ann Otts (born September 11, 1994) is a Turkish-American women's ice hockey player. Currently, she is a member of Genç Ankaralılar Spor Kulubü team in Ankara, Turkey playing in the defense position. She takes part in the Turkey women's national ice hockey team. She is 1.50 m (4 ft 11 in) tall at 45 kg (99 lb).[1][2]

Çisel Ann Otts was born to an American father and a Turkish mother in Maryland, United States on September 11, 1994.[1][3] At the age of eleven, her father died and she followed her mother to Kocaeli, Turkey.[3] She is a student of English Linguistics and Literature at Kocaeli University.[3]

Career

Otts began with ice hockey in Turkey when she was twelve years old.[3] She preferred this sport because she was much interested in ice skating, however she was not young enough to start a figure-skating career, as she told in a newspaper interview.[3] She added that she performs ice hockey as a hobby, because there is no possibility to become a professional ice hockey player unlike in the United States.[3]

Club

She plays in the Turkish Ice Hockey Women's League for Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt Spor team.[1] Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıtspor Kulübü (2006-2014) Genç Ankaralılar (2014-...)

International

She was called up for the Turkey national team, and played in the 2013 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II Group B qualification matches.[4]
