Čertovka

Čertovka

Čertovka (Devil's Channel), also called Little Prague Venice in English, is a water channel in Prague, Czech Republic. It is situated in Lesser Quarter, Prague 1. Čertovka channel takes water from river Vltava and after almost 900 m it onflows to Vltava River again. There are situated two medieval mills on the channel. The channel was built probably in the 12th century by the Order of the Knights of Malta,[1] who added a portion of land to the right and created an island called Kampa.
