Şehzade Mahmud (son of Mehmed III)

Şehzade Mahmud (1584/1587 - 1602) was the Ottoman prince, and the eldest son of sultan Mehmed III.

Şehzade Mahmud was born in Manisa in 1584 or 1587 year, he was the eldest son of Mehmed III, who later ascended to the Ottoman Throne.

Fearing the influence of his mother and his power and prestige, his death was due to Safiye Sultan's intringues.
