100 Grandkids
"100 Grandkids" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Mac Miller. It was released at midnight on August 7, 2015, as the lead single from Miller's third studio album GO:OD AM The song is divided into two parts; the first being "Grandkids", produced by New York-based record producer Sha Money XL, and the latter "100 Grand" produced by Pittsburgh production trio I.D. Labs.
Background
Mac originally premiered "100 Grandkids" at the Grassroots Festival in Omaha, the weekend before the official audio released. Miller later tweeted a picture of the album cover "GO:OD A.M." with the caption "TONIGHT. MIDNIGHT ET". At midnight, he dropped the official audio for "100 Grandkids" along with the music video.
Music video
The music video for the song has two main parts, with the first ("Grandkids") being Mac rapping as the moon in a play performed by children dressed in costumes. The second part of the video, "100 Grand" is Mac rapping next to a bouncing car.
