1904 Florida State College football team
The 1904 Florida State College football team represented the Florida State College in the sport of American football during the 1904 college football season.[1] This was not the modern Florida State Seminoles of Florida State University, which began play in 1947, but its pre-Buckman Act predecessor institution. The team posted a 2–3 record, but were state champions with a defeat of Stetson and the University of Florida.[2][3][4]
The team's coach was Jack Forsythe, later the first head coach of the Florida Gators. Jock Hanvey assisted the team.[5] The team clinched the title with the defeat of Stetson.[6]
