1961 Lamar Tech Cardinals football team
The 1961 Lamar Tech Cardinals football team competed at the NCAA College Division level as a member of the Lone Star Conference. The Cardinals finished the season with an 8–2–1 record overall and a 4–2–1 conference record. The team finished the season playing in the Tangerine Bowl against Middle Tennessee winning 21–14.
