The 1962 World Rowing Championships was the 1st World Rowing Championships. It was held in 1962 at Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland.[1][2]

The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Aviron (FISA) did not recognise East Germany, and so only one German crew was permitted per event.
