The 1971 World Netball Championships was the third edition of the World Netball Championships, the premier tournament in international netball, held every four years. The 1971 tournament was held in Kingston, Jamaica, and featured nine teams. The tournament actually began in 1970, on December 31, with England and New Zealand winning their opening matches on New Years Eve.[1] Australia were the winners, claiming their second title by the score of 48-42.[2]
