  1. After the race, it was discovered that Katayama used a 350 cc Yamaha instead of the 370 cc Yamaha he had used in practice. Katayama then withdrew from the official results.[1]
  2. Länsivuori was disqualified for not stopping his engine during a refuelling stop.[1]
