The 1978–79 FIBA European Cup Winner's Cup was the thirteenth edition of FIBA's competition for European basketball national cup champions, running from 1 November 1978 to 22 March 1979. It was contested by 20 teams, two less than in the previous edition.[1]
Gabetti Cantù defeated the Dutch club Den Bosch in a final held in Poreč winning the European Cup Winner's Cup for the third consecutive time.
