Peter Fleming and John McEnroe were the defending champion of the Masters title. But they failed to qualify. Stefan Edberg and Anders Järryd beat fellow Swedes Joakim Nyström and Mats Wilander in the final. It was the pair's first Masters title and the first Masters doubles title for Sweden.
