The 1988 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships were the 42nd annual NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship and the 7th annual NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship to determine the national champions of NCAA Division I men's and women's collegiate tennis. Each championship featured a singles, doubles, and team championship.

The men's tournaments were played in Athens, Georgia, hosted by the University of Georgia, while the women's tournaments were held in Los Angeles, California, hosted by the University of California, Los Angeles.[1][2] The men's and women's tournaments would not be held at the same site until 2006.

Stanford claimed both the men's and women's team titles, their ninth and fifth national championships, respectively. UCLA also claimed both the men's and women's doubles national titles.
