The 1989 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team represented the University of Delaware in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Division I-AA college football in its fourth season as a member of the Yankee Conference. They were led by Tubby Raymond, who was in his 24th season as head coach of the Fightin' Blue Hens. The team played its home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware. The season finale against Navy would prove to be the Midshipmen's final appearance at Delaware Stadium.
