1996 Davis Cup Americas Zone Group III

The Group III tournament was held March 6-10, in San Salvador, El Salvador, on outdoor clay courts.[1]
The eleven teams were split into two groups, each of which played a Round-robin tournament. The winner of each pool was promoted to Group II for 1997. The fifth- and sixth-place finishers would be placed in the inaugural Group IV in 1997.
The tournament marked the Davis Cup debuts of Antigua and Barbuda and Panama.
