1997 Youth Asia Cup is a inaugural Youth Asia Cup tournament administered by Asian Cricket Council. This tournament was hosted by Hong Kong from 30 November - 7 December 1997. Total 8 team was participated on this tournament. This tournament is also a qualifying tournament for 1998 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at South Africa [1]
Matches
A total of 18 matches were played in the tournament. Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea went for the Final securing their place at 1998 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at South Africa. In Final Bangladesh win Papua New Guinea by 256 runs and become 1999 Youth Asia Cup champions. [2]
