1998 Scottish Cup Final
The 1998 Scottish Cup Final was played on 16 May 1998 at Celtic Park in Glasgow and was the final of the 113th Scottish Cup. Hearts and Rangers contested the match, which Hearts won 2–1, thanks to Colin Cameron's penalty and Stephane Adam's goal. The match was also notable as Ally McCoist's last ever game for Rangers; he went on to score their goal. John Robertson of Hearts was an unused substitute in the match. He was due to come on midway through the second half, but did not end up coming on. He decided that he didn't wan't to take part in the match because he couldn't face being on the field if Rangers went on to win the game. (What a lot of nonsense) John Robertson never appeared for Hearts again.
One of the Rangers mascots that day was Gary Wall
