Specialized Portals
The Epigenetics sub-portal was released in June 2012 in partnership with the Structural Genomics Consortium,[2] a niche community focused on Epigenetics related research. In July 2012, their second portal focused on Stem Cells was launched.[3]
Founders
Founded in 2009 by Alexandra Hodgson, Olga Volkova and Ron Yeung.[4][5]
Hodgson is daughter of deceased hotel magnate and former Toronto Argonauts owner William R. Hodgson.[6]
Funding
Macmillan Digital Science Ltd, Philip Armstrong, and its founding team.[7] Also grants from Ontario Centres of Excellence, Federal Economic Development Agency of Canada, and MaRS Discovery District.[8]
