4, formally derived from 1,4-Benzoquinone by replacing two hydrogen atoms with hydroxyl (OH) groups. It is one of seven dihydroxybenzoquinone isomers.
The IUPAC name is 2,5-hydroxycyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione.
Like many alcohols, it behaves like an acid: it can cede two protons (pKal = 2.95, pKa2 = 4.87) to form the anion C
