For the Rubik's Cube, the best of five attempts was taken. For the 4x4 and 5x5 cubes the average of all three attempts was the overall score. In Rubik's Magic and Master Magic, the best of three attempts were taken. Finally, for 3x3 One-Handed the best of two attempts was taken. Both average and best times could count towards National, Continental, and World Records even if that measurement did not determine the overall winner.
