It took place at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in Shanghai, China, from November 13 through November 20, 2005.

David Nalbandian defeated Roger Federer 6–7^(4–7), 6–7^(11–13), 6–2, 6–1, 7–6^(7–3)

• It was David Nalbandian's 2nd title of the year, and his 4th overall. It was his 1st career year-end championships title.

Doubles

Michaël Llodra / Fabrice Santoro defeated Leander Paes / Nenad Zimonjić 6–7^(6–8), 6–3, 7–6^(7–4)
