2008–09 MJHL season

The 200809 season marked the first year the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) used the crossover format for the playoffs, in this format the top 8 teams make it to the playoffs regardless of the division.

Champions

The Portage Terriers won their second consecutive Turnbull trophy and their 6th all-time. Portage moved on to take on the Humboldt Broncos from the SJHL in the 2009 Anavet Cup, the Terriers ultimately lost.
