It will be the first time since 2011 that the competition will take place, the 2012 event was cancelled and COSAFA concentrated their effort into organising a football competition as part of the Zone Six Games.[2]
In it was announced that Lesotho would be the host nation of the competition.[3] It is scheduled to take place between 3 and 14 December. The host cities will be Maseru and Mafeteng.
The competition is open to players born on or before 1 January 1994.[4]
