The 2013 Emirates Cup was a two-day pre-season men's football friendly tournament hosted by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The competition was staged over the weekend of 34 August 2013. Along with Arsenal, the other participating clubs were Galatasaray, Porto and Napoli.

Despite the tournament not being staged in the previous season, in 2013 four teams competed, including the usual inclusion of Arsenal.[1][2] The tournament reverted to system whereby each goal was awarded with a point, as well as the conventional points system for a win, draw and loss. Galatasaray won the cup beating F.C. Porto and the hosts, Arsenal.

Standings

Each team played two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw, and a point for every goal scored. In addition, shots on target were taken into account and were used to decide the tournament winners if teams are level on points and goal difference.[3]
