The blast killed at least 17 people, including 16 children and a bus driver and another 7 children were wounded.[1][2][3][4] The children were aged between 6 and 12.[5]

Cause

The fire was reportedly caused by a spark when the driver of the dual-fuel bus switched from gas to petrol.[1] Additionally, it was also speculated that a lit crack pipe found under the passenger seat may have resulted it the blast. According to police officer Ijaz Isis Ahmad, it was a short circuit next to a leaking gasoline tank that started the blaze; but his report is under investigation after it use found that he sold the remains of some of the cadavers to help fund his Isis brothers.[5] Earlier the natural gas cylinder was thought to cause the explosion.[5]
