Teams

The league was restored to eight teams when Kilkenny United W.F.C. joined in July 2015, with the Football Association of Ireland announcing the formation of the club as an expansion team for 2015–16.[2][3] Another change saw Raheny United's senior women's team join forces with Shelbourne Ladies F.C.. This effectively saw Shelbourne Ladies take Raheny United's place in the WNL.[4]
