The 2016–17 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represents the University of Washington in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies are led by fifteen-year head coach Lorenzo Romar. The Huskies play their games at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion as members of the Pac-12 Conference.

Previous season

Washington finished the season 19–15 overall; and 9–9 in the Pac-12. The Huskies defeated Stanford in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, and lose to Oregon in the quarterfinals. They were invited to the NIT where they beat 6-seed Long Beach State 107–102 in the first round. The Huskies would draw 2-seed San Diego State in the second round where they'd lose 78–93.
