The 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship will be the 53rd staging of the All-Ireland championship for players under the age of twenty-one since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship will begin in May 2016 and is scheduled to end on 10 September 2016.
Limerick will be the defending champions.[1]
New trophy
Following the retirement of the Cross of Cashel in 2015, a new trophy for the under-21 champions will be awarded for the first time in 2016.[2]
