The 2017 World Figure Skating Championships will be an international figure skating competition in the 2016–17 season. Helsinki, Finland will host the event.[1] Medals will be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. The event will also determine the number of entries for each country at the 2018 World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Number of entries per discipline
Based on the results of the 2016 World Championships, each ISU member nation can field one to three entries per discipline.
