The 2018 European Championship will be the 14th European Championship in American Football. It will be held in Germany.
Qualification
The European Championship 2018 is held in two stages, two B Group and one A Group tournament each played with a qualification round. The winners of the B Group tournaments are promoted to the A Group qualification round. Altogether an all-time record number of twenty teams compete to win the European title in 2018.
B Group Qualifiers
The qualification round for the Group B tournaments was played from August to October 2015. Six of the twelve teams took part in one of the tournaments of the last championship. These teams were the hosts of their playoff game. Israel defeating Spain was the only unseeded team to make it to a Group B tournament.

B Group Tournaments
The B Group Tournaments will be played in 2016. As runner-up and third of the B Group Tournament in 2013 Italy and Great Britain earned a spot as host nation of one of the tournaments.

Venues
According to preliminary plans the games will take place in four stadiums in three different cities. The Olympiastadion and the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Berlin, the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt and the Stadion Dresden in Dresden are the four venues.[1]
