50 Persei is a star in the constellation Perseus. Its apparent magnitude is 5.50. Located around 21.00 parsecs (68.5 ly) distant, it is a White main-sequence star of spectral type F7V,^[1] a star that is currently fusing its core hydrogen. The star is an RS Canum Venaticorum variable,^[1] meaning that it is a close binary star whose components have star-spots, which cause variations in brightness.
