53 Ophiuchi is a double star in the constellation Ophiuchus. Its apparent magnitude is 5.23. Located around 104 parsecs (340 ly) distant, the primary is a blue-white main-sequence star of spectral type A2V,[1] while the secondary, with an apparent magnitude of 7.76, is a subgiant of spectral type A8IV.[2]
