The Alliance of Patriots for a Free and Sovereign Congo (French: Alliance des patriotes pour un Congo libre et souverain), also known by its French initialism APCLS, is an armed rebel group in northeastern DR Congo.[1]
APCLS fighters are primarily of Hunde ethnic origin.[1] They are led by Janvier Buingo Karairi, who is referred to variously as both Colonel[2] and General.[3]
