History

The company was formerly known as Sun Life & Provincial Holdings plc and changed its name to AXA UK plc in September 2000. The company was incorporated in 1994 [2] and is based in London, United Kingdom. AXA UK plc operates as a subsidiary of AXA Group.

Paul Evans was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in October 2010. [3] He became Chairman of the Association of British Insurers in October 2014. [4][5]
