A Death In The Gunj is an upcoming drama film written and directed by Konkona Sen Sharma in her debut.[1][2] The film features an ensemble cast including Vikrant Massey, Tillotama Shome, Om Puri, Tanuja, Gulshan Devaiah, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey.[3] It is produced by Ashish Bhatnagar, Vijay Kumar Swami, Raagii Bhatnagar, Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan under the banner of Studioz IDrream Private Limited and MacGuffin Pictures[4][5] The filming began in February and completed in March 2016 after a six week shoot.[6] The fim was launched by Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj.[7]

Plot

A Death in the Gunj is a "coming of age" story that centres around the lead character named Shutu and his conflicted ideas of masculinity. He finds himself navigating the blurred lines of what is accepted in society and questions his own space within the world.

Cast

Koechlin and Devaiah play lead roles in the film.

Production

The film will mark actress Konkana Sen's directiorial debut.[8][9][10]
