Ab-e-gum or Abegum (Urdu: آب گم) is a town and union council of Kachhi District in the Balochistan province of Pakistan.[1] Aab-e-gum railway station is a railway station in Kachhi District, Balochistan, Pakistan. It is located 50 kilometers (31 mi) southeast of Quetta near the Chilton mountain on Quetta-Rohri branch railway line. The railway station was built by the British in 1886.

Aab-e-gum (Persian: آب گم) is a Persian word and it means 'water lost', a name given to the spot for a spring that dives underground nearby.

Economy

The area is an important supplier of gas.[2]
