Aaron Morris (born 1 January 1991) is an English comedian and presenter best known for his self-titled podcast on iTunes which was nominated for a European Podcast Award under the Best Personality category in 2012.[1]

Personal life

Aaron was born in Gravesend and grew up in the town of Dartford, Kent. He was raised by his Mother and grew up with his older sister and two younger brothers as part of a close family. Aaron now lives in Blackpool with his Girlfriend.

Career

Starting on Radio at the age of 19 with his co-host Chris Mott; who also became the co-host for the Aaron Morris Podcast; Aaron had a show playing music from independent record labels as he loved new music. Chris dared Aaron to try stand-up after people found the show awkwardly funny.[2][3]

The Aaron Morris podcast started in 2011, recorded at his home in Dartford after Aaron's first year in stand-up. With the first series containing guests such as Ray Peacock and Joel Dommett it slowly grabbed a following and has now finished with 3 series. Morris told Mark Dolan live on Fubar Radio on 1 May 2014 that if it wasn't for his comedian guests he wouldn't have been nominated and owes it to them. Since the podcast became popular Morris has been presenting for various TV channels but most recently for Grab London TV at film premieres in the UK interviewing various celebrities.[4] Aaron also appeared in an episode of South Side Story on BBC Three February 2015.

In stand-up Aaron is currently writing with CBBC presenter and fellow comic Ben Shires for a split show at the Edinburgh Fringe. He said its what they've wanted to do for a while.[5]

From starting in radio Morris has a lot of links to the music industry and is really good friends with Hutch Harris; frontman for The Thermals; Jaani Peuhu and Vanity Beach.

Morris announced on 26 November 2014 that he will be bringing his self titled podcast back for Series 4, with a new co-host Ryan Gleeson.[6] The series lasted 4 episodes followed by a 24-hour live broadcast for the charity The George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust, on which he was joined by comedians and actors such as Joel Dommett, Rebecca Callard and Trevor Lock.

Aaron also announced that he is currently writing and directing a music video for the track 'Lifelines' from the debut solo album of Finish musician Jaani Peuhu which will be released at the same time as the album.[7]

As of September 2015 Aaron is a Presenter of Talk Lancashire on That's TV Lancashire, a chat show to talk about news, opinions and people. The show although pre-recorded is hardly edited as it goes out roughly 4 hours after recording.[8]
