"Ab Laut Aa" is a song by producer Sanjoy Deb featuring Sunidhi Chauhan.[1] It is Sunidhi's first independent single aside from her many Bollywood songs. It is India's first electronic dance music track featuring a Bollywood singer. It amassed one million plus hits on YouTube within several weeks of release.[2]

History

The project was conceived and produced by Kunal Agarwal and Sanjoy Deb.[3] After working on several unofficial remixes together, the duo set to create a music and film production that introduces electronic dance music to the world with Hindi lyrics. After bringing together a cross-cultural and international team, Ab Laut Aa released for listeners and viewers worldwide. The response has been strongly positive.[4]

Music video

The music video released features a storyline set in India describing Women's rights issues with regard to rape and acid throwings.

In putting together the music video we could have told the story of a lost lover, a break-up, but we wanted to give people something they had never seen before. We wanted to tell the story of loss, but through the tale of two sisters, while capturing the heart of what’s going on in India today.

The goal is to hold a mirror, but also to engage and entertain and that’s no small task. We hope the fans will appreciate the risk and hard work that went into bringing it to life.
