The government was run by an Executive Council which was led by his son, Prince Hassan Fareed Didi, in the name of Sultan Majeed Didi. He spoke fluent Urdu, Arabic, English and Sinhalese. He served as the Vice Prime Minister during his father's time. He later became the Prime Minister of Sultan Muhammad Shamsuddeen III. Sultan Majeed Didi died on 21 February 1952 in Ceylon.
