Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi (born 19 August 1959) is Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Yemen, a Yemeni politician and a prominent national figure.[1]
Life
Abdul-Malik Abdul Jalil Ali was born in the village of Mekhlaf, Province of Taiz on 19 August 1959 to a family that inherited jurisprudence for hundreds of years and received his early education at the hands of his grandfather-Faqih Ali Radman Mikhlafi. Earned a Bachelor of law 1984. Joined at the early age of fifteen the Nasserist Unionist People's Organisation of Yemen, because of his sacrifices and his genius intellectual, cultural and organizational and political abilities he rose quickly to stardom, as he since held a number of leadership positions before he was elected secretary-general of the organization in July / July 1982 at the age of 23 years and in the period of the most difficult periods in the history of the organization after the October movement failed and the state of defections and intrusions suffered by the organization.
Journalist activity
1978: Mekhlafi worked in private journalism especially the student corner in The Republic Newspaper he was also worked in the students program broadcast in Taiz. 1979 to 1981 worked as a journalist in the newspaper of the Republic. 1977 holder of the decision of the Political Committee of the branch of the martyr Almajali (Taiz / EP). 1979: a leading member of Taiz branch. 1980: Secretary of Taiz branch. 1981: elected member of the Central Committee of the organization, and the Committee elected him member of the executive leadership of the organization. 1981: Supervisor of the Unionist newspaper the official paper of the organization. 7 / 1982-8 / 1984: Secretary General of the Nasserist Unionist People's Organisation of Yemen. 1985: charged under the chairmanship of the Committee on Foreign Relations and the political organization of the Assistant Secretary-General of the June 13, during his stay in Damascus. 1985: editor of the mouthpiece of a unitary organization (it was then issued outside Yemen). 9/1993: Secretary General of the organization after the announcement of legalizing political parties in Yemen
In prison
Mekhlafi was arrested more than once, he fled after the October 1978 movement failed, and disappeared from 1978 to 1979. He was also arrested in the period between 1984 and 1985 and subjected assassination more than once, forcing him to leave Yemen to Syria where five years as he held the chairmanship of the Foreign Relations Committee of the organization.

National activities
A founding member of the Arab National Conference 1990 elected more than once to the membership of the Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the National Conference, and founder of the Islamic National Conference member in 1994 and a member of the Coordinating Committee and follow-up of the conference previously. Founding member of the Nasserist Unionist People's Organisation in Yemen.
His role in the February 11 revolution
Mekhlafi had a large role in the February Revolution where he led the revolution and was one of the most important catalysts for youth.
Private businesses
He is a partner at the Lebanese University in Yemen and its branches in Sana'a, Taiz, and Aden.
