Kazushige Abe

Kazushige Abe (阿部 和重 Abe Kazushige, born September 23, 1968 in Higashine, Yamagata[1]) is a contemporary Japanese writer.

In 2004 he was awarded the 132nd Akutagawa Prize for his book about a pedophile called Grand Finale and the Tanizaki Prize 2010 for Pistols. Abe was on the selection committee for the annual Super Dash Novel Rookie of the Year Award from 2001 through 2005.
