Abihud
There are two biblical characters named Abihud;
- one of the sons of Bela, the son of Benjamin (1 Chr. 8:3); called also Ahihud (ver. 7).
- a son or grandson of Zerubbabel and father of Eliakim (Matthew 1:13, "Abiud"); It's possible to be the same to Obadiah (1 Chr. 3:21).
The name may also occasionally be romanized as Abioud (Greek) or 'Abiyhuwd (Hebrew).
Meaning
Father of praise, Father of renown, my father is majesty.
