AboveTheLaw.com is an American blog that gives news and commentary about the U.S. legal industry. Content includes information on salaries and bonuses, law schools and firms. David Lat is its founder and managing editor. It has been known as a "legal tabloid", regularly publishing unsavory, salacious, and inaccurate stories about law students, lawyers, and judges across the country.[1]

The blog has received some positive attention (In 2008, Above the Law was listed as one of the ABA Journal 100 best Web sites by lawyers, for lawyers.[2] A 2007 article in The Washington Post referred to website as "a must-read legal blog.")

In June 2013, the web site's traffic exceeded one million visitors per month.[3]
