The Absolute Radio Movies Extra Podcast is a weekly podcast from the UK-based Absolute Radio station. It is hosted by Ben Jones and Adrian Hieatt.

The weekly show focus on new movies, featuring interviews with actors and directors from film junkets, and red carpet reports from major national and international premieres. Regular features also include the week's biggest movie news, behind-the-scenes scoops, a rundown of the top 10 films at the UK box office, and a review of all the new releases at the cinema and on DVD.

Guests

Notable guest interviews on the podcast have included Tom Hanks, Christian Bale, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Daniel Craig, Danny Boyle and Kate Winslet. Seann William Scott also memorably co-hosted the podcast in late 2008. Many of the interviews are conducted by Ben Jones, and recently Adrian Hieatt has taken on presenter duties more regularly. There have also been reports from the BAFTA awards, the Paris premiere of Terminator Salvation, and the UK premieres of The Dark Knight, Quantum of Solace, and many other big releases.

The podcast has also been the first to report several pieces of movie news, including the latest developments on the Alan Partridge film in May 2009, and the news that Danny Boyle was not going to direct the next James Bond installment.
