Abu Taur of Huesca
Abu Tawr, from the Banu Salama (Arabic: بني سلمة), a scion of the Muwallad Banu Qasi clan (Arabic: بنو قسي), agreed with Charlemagne,[1] jointly with Sulayman ibn Yaqdhan, the wali of Madīnat Barsaluna, at the imperial diet of Paderborn, to offer their domains to the Franks, in exchange of military aid for a new revolt against the Amir Abd ar-Rahman I with the aim of reinstating Abbasid power in Al-Andalus. The alliance ended in failure with the Frankish defeat at Roncesvaux after retreating from the failed siege of Saraqusta.
In 790 he proposed [2] an alliance to Carolingian king Hlodwig.
