Acıpayam is a breed of domesticated sheep originated in Turkey. They are a dual-purpose breed (wool and meat). The Acıpayam originated from Assaf crossed with Awassi and Dagliç ewes.[1]
Characteristics
Rams average 65 kg (140 lb) and ewes 60 kg (130 lb) at maturity. Both have white, coarse wool.[2]
