Accrisoft Freedom is a commercial content management system (CMS) which runs on the industry standard open-source LAMP platform. It is permanently being developed by Accrisoft Corporation, a company mainly based in Sarasota, Florida, in the United States.

Accrisoft Corporation

Following the purchase of web development company I-Network in 1998, the company became the Accris Corporation in 2000. After entering the Centec technology accelerator program, the company became Accrisoft Corporation in 2001. Accrisoft Freedom was originally developed on virtual private server (VPS) technology from Verio.

Freedom Capabilities

Freedom offers separate, color-coded interfaces based on the capabilities provided: The Green Interface is used for building websites and managing HTML and CSS layouts, while the Blue Interface allows non-technical end users to add and maintain content. Accrisoft Business Tools, a software product provided to Accrisoft Freedom resellers, features three additional interfaces: Red, Purple and Orange, for administration, server control and accounting, respectively.

Freedom's Blue Interface utilizes the TinyMCE Editor, an open source WYSIWYG editor. As of October 2010, the Blue Interface features 50 modules for adding content to Freedom websites.

Accrisoft Freedom specializes in membership and events management, social media, online marketing and e-commerce. Freedom is notable for its highly customizable databases, providing full control over HTML layout and complex filter and search capabilities.

The system's administrative interface is able to support many languages, including English, French, German, and Euskara.

Providers

All of Accrisoft’s business comes through its reseller channel. Accrisoft software runs on many different hosting providers, but is offered as an integrated offering with Verio's reseller channel. Accrisoft Freedom SaaS (software as a service) products are offered through Verio's retail channel. Freedom is also available on the following hosting platforms:

Accrisoft Freedom is offered by a network of resellers, including Accrisoft’s partner company, Accrinet Corporation.

Community

Accrisoft and its resellers use the Accrisoft Ecosystem to access forums, release notes, documentation, bug tracking and marketing materials.

Freedom websites allow administrators to share templates and layouts with the entire Ecosystem community from within the Green Interface.

Accrisoft holds an annual conference for its resellers known as the Accrisoft Solution Provider Summit.
