Acetobacter | |
Acetobacteraceae is a family of gram-negative bacteria. The Type genus is Acetobacter.[1] Ten genera from Acetobacteraceae make up the acetic acid bacteria.[2]
History
Acetobacteraceae was proposed as a family for Acetobacter and Gluconobacter based on rRNA and DNA–DNA hybridization comparisons in 1980.[3]
