Adalberto Álvarez

Adalberto Álvarez (born in 1948 in Havana)[1] is a Cuban pianist, director and composer.

During the 1970s, Álvarez attended the National School of Arts in Havana. He started the Cuban band Son 14 in the 1970s and disbanded it in the 1980s.[2] In 1984, Álvarez started the group Adalberto Alvarez y su Son, which he directs today.[3] The genre of his music is son, a style of music that originated in Cuba.[1]
