Adam McClean
Adam McClean (born c. 1989) is a British journalist and broadcaster who works for ITV Granada. He reports for North West regional news programme Granada Reports and the regional political programme Party People.[1] He also contributes to ITV News national output.
Education
He graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Journalism.[2] Whilst studying for A-levels he founded a student television station at Winstanley College. He attended St. Bede's Catholic High School in Ormskirk.
Career
McClean began his career in journalism working for the BBC prior to and throughout university.[3] He joined the ITV Granada regional news team after completing his degree in 2010.[4] He first worked on the ITV national news, which is produced by ITN, in 2011.
Awards
He was named the 'Newcomer of the Year' to ITV News shortly after joining the broadcaster.[5] His work in covering the 2011 Manchester riots on Twitter was recognised at the O2 Media Awards where he received the 'Digital Journalist of the Year' award.[6]
